"I love you, baby," I say. "Thank you for being the best husband ever."
The DNB and I are embracing in the kitchen on a muggy spring day.
He swats my rear.
"You are a raging inferno of hotness," he says.
I raise my eyebrows and hug him tighter. "Why thank you, mister," I respond.
"No, I mean you're burning up. Don't touch me."
He swats me again, disentangles himself, and walks away.
