Delicious: Trader Joe's Ready to Bake Brownies (in an oven-proof tray)
Why I am theoretically a majorly big-time fan: because in the not-so-distant past I tried and failed on four, count them, FOUR attempts to make fudge. I do realize I will never live this down. I am not a reliable baker, nor do I especially enjoy baking. However, I do enjoy eating baked goods.
DILEMMA! Store-bought ready to make cookies and brownies are not delicious. They all have that sort of "pre-made" flavor, which probably comes from the Blue #4 or the phosophorhemofructose.
Why I am actually a majorly big-time fan: so the first thing I did when I saw the Trader Joe's Ready to Bake Brownies in the frozen section was to examine the ingredient list. Holy readability Batman, they were all items I would use WERE I TO MAKE BROWNIES AT HOME! Sugar, butter, flour, eggs, vanilla and cocoa.
We made them right away and I was most pleasantly surprised with the taste. Not fakey, pre-made tasting, but rather moist and delicious. They pretty much tasted like they would had I made my own batch correctly, like without omitting the sugar or eggs.
Definitely recommended. Thank you, Trader Joe's, for continuing to be wonderful.

Oh, how I long for a Trader Joe's in Springfield!!
Trader Joe's is a diamond in the rough of ordinary, bland, and pretentious grocery chains, like Piggly Wiggly. Oh - maybe diamond isn't the right metaphor after your class-action post.
